Agreement
These terms apply to the Golf Buddies website, web app, and iPhone and Android apps ("Golf Buddies", "the app"), operated by Cooppetition ("we", "us"). By using Golf Buddies you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies; where it conflicts with these terms, Apple's agreement governs your use of the iPhone app.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for activity on your account.
- Give accurate information, and don't sign up on behalf of someone else without their permission.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account menu in the app (see Data retention & deletion).
Free and Pro
Golf Buddies is free to use with a selection of games and a full scorecard. Golf Buddies Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks every game and removes ads. The current price is shown before you subscribe.
Subscriptions and billing
- Plans. Pro is billed monthly or yearly, as you choose.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, and you are charged unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- On our website, payments are processed by Helcim in Canadian or US dollars. You can stop renewal at any time from Plans in the app; Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for.
- In the iPhone app, payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Manage or cancel the subscription in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- In the Android app, payment is charged to your Google Play account. Manage or cancel the subscription in the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions.
- Codes. A discount code applies to your first payment only; later renewals are charged at the regular price. Tester codes give Pro access for the period stated with the code and do not renew.
- Price changes. We will tell you in advance of any price change for an existing subscription, as required by law and by the App Store and Google Play.
Refunds
Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. For a purchase made on our website, email info@cooppetition.com and we will review your request. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google under their policies; request them from your Apple or Google account.
Acceptable use
- Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or get around its security or paid features.
- Don't use names or content that are unlawful, abusive, or infringe someone else's rights.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Scores, games, and course information
Golf Buddies is for fun and friendly competition. Scores, standings, and game results are calculated from what players enter, and course information comes from third-party sources, so we can't guarantee they are complete or accurate. Settle any wagers between yourselves; Golf Buddies does not hold or transfer money between players.
Ads
The free version may show ads from sponsors and from Google. Pro members don't see ads.
Our content
The app, its design, and its game rules as presented in the app belong to Cooppetition. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Golf Buddies under these terms. The rounds you save belong to you.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Golf Buddies is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties beyond those required by law, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or amounts greater than what you paid us for Golf Buddies in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Golf Buddies after that means you accept the updated terms.
